Senior Consultant/Manager Risk & Regulatory Financial Services (Switzerland)

For our client, an international professional service firm providing services in the fields of auditing, tax consultancy, consulting and corporate finance, we seek to recruit Senior Consultants/Manager (f/m) for the Financial Services Operations Excellence Group based in Zurich/Switzerland.

Your role

A critical aspect of your work will be to retain the ability to provide practical and independent advice to our client's clients.
• Full transformation lifecycle for assessment, design, planning, and implementation support of significant programmes, projects and workstreams
• Working in method driven independent operations excellence as well as collaborative, cross-competency environments
• Working alongside client users, business and IT change teams, and sponsors to design and deliver transformation across all functional areas
• Bringing your in-depth experience of key banking processes to provide insights to our clients’ requirements
• Developing compelling and robust internal propositions and client facing proposals

Your profile

• Strong academic background
• 4+ years experience in front, middle or back office project management role for Medium/Top tier bank or consulting company
• Strong understanding of different asset classes and financial products, e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Structured Products (listed or OTC derivatives)
• Understanding of key processes, i.e., pricing, trading, market/credit/operational risk, clearing, settlement, accounting, reference data
• Deep knowledge of risk and regulatory disciplines and practices and familiarity with current industry trends and initiatives, e.g., ‘Volcker rules’, AIFM, KAG, ‘Basel III’
• Understanding of high-level IT architecture of risk and regulatory-related systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence management and build credibility across the client organization
• Experience in developing value propositions / proposals
• Commercial awareness and ability to articulate and present value propositions and proposals
• Experience of leading and developing junior team members on projects
